As some of you know the BWC also operates a Beauty Boutique, bridal and beauty treatments through selected suppliers offering exclusive discounts. Alongside this we have put together some lovely beauty based hen party packages - http://www.thebeautifulweddingcompany.com/beauty-boutique

I have recently had a very lovely and original experience, one which would undoubtedly make for a fantastic hen party evening.  An evening of wine, drawing, nudity and food, what more could you need to create your perfect hen party! Introducing…… Supper in a Pear tree.

Based near Clapham Junction and run by two very talented sisters, (an artists and a chef) guests are welcomed into the darkened candle lit room with a glass of wine. Huddled together and faced with a semi circle of easels I was immediately very pleased that I had remembered to mention the ‘life drawing’ part of the evening to my husband!

So with wine in hand (or resting on easel), the model poised in full naked glory, we begin our attempt at drawing her with charcoal. As the wine flowed and the volume in the room began to increase, we all swiftly realised our drawings needed a bit of help! Amazed by the speed and skill of Charlotte Partridge as she demonstrated how to tackle a life drawing, we attempted a new drawing accompanied with fresh wine glasses. I honestly could have continued drawing and enjoying the wine throughout the whole evening, My husband however, was very pleased when we were seated for supper!

It is important to highlight that this is a BYO evening, which if looking to keep costs down amongst hen guests is extremely helpful.

The food is simply delicious, the talented Annabel Partridge knows her way around a kitchen! Served a scrummy fish main course followed by a fruit tart, our bellies were full and our artistic talents exhausted!

The whole evening costs £30 a head and is without doubt an untapped hen party experience. These evenings are only run every month with 20 spaces available on each, contact them asap to avoid disappointment.

A Wedding venue with a difference - Ravens Ait Island, Kingston, South London

As a wedding planner I am always on the lookout for 'different' venues. There are your classic Marquee weddings, Stately homes, Tithe Barns, 5* Hotels, Village halls, but this is a first for me - a wedding venue on an island!

Ravens Ait is an island in the middle of the Thames, in between Hampton Court Palace and Kingston. Having been completely renovated last year Ravens Ait is already a hugely popular venue with wedding bookings for 2013/14.

The experience:

The bride and groom arrive by boat (the only way to get onto the island), and are greeted by the lovely catering staff in residence at Ravens Ait with a glass of champagne. Bride and groom can then have their wedding reception
on the front law, which offers fabulous views of the Thames and excellent photographic opportunities!
Ravens Ait is also licensed to hold wedding ceremonies for between 120 - 250 guests, and offers a choice of their Marquee or Ball Room for hosting the wedding breakfast, both have stunning views of the river so the choice is yours!
Only one wedding is held each day ensuring the day is entirely yours.

With the new refurbishments done to the highest standards, their friendly staff an focus on providing you with the wedding of your dreams, this is destined to become of the top wedding venues in Surrey and Greater London. Each package
is bespoked to your requirements so there are no real set prices, however as a guideline their prices range from £1,500 - £4,500 depending on the rooms you wish to hire and date of your wedding.

Without doubt a wedding venue with a difference.
